Student Representative

Cody Traffanstedt currently serves as the director of specialty clinics at East Alabama Health in Opelika, Alabama where he oversees the operations of five clinics including rheumatology, urology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, and urogynecology. Cody has a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Auburn University in Montgomery (AUM) and a Bachelor’s in Health Services Administration from Auburn University. With a diverse background in healthcare, including experience in long term care administration and healthcare data analytics, Cody is passionate about education, serving his local community, and ensuring the needs of the aging populations within our communities are met.

He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and serves on the board of ACHE of Alabama as the president-elect. Cody is also a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) where he has earned certifications as both a healthcare financial professional and specialist in physician practice management. Locally, Cody serves on the AUM MHA advisory board, is the treasurer for the East Alabama Healthcare Leaders Association (formerly East Alabama MGMA) and also serves on the board for the Opelika Chamber’s 20 under Forty leadership development program. Recently, he has also had the opportunity to teach as an adjunct instructor in the health services administration undergraduate program at Auburn University.
