Board of Directors Goals for 2025-2026
As we embark on a new election cycle, the ASN Board of Directors is proud to share its charter outlining the strategic goals for the term spanning January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026. These goals reflect our commitment to fostering a vibrant, engaged community that supports the professional growth and development of our members while advancing the mission and vision of the Alumni Student Network.
Foster Growth and Development Through the Mentoring Program
Launch a mentoring campaign.
Continue enhancing the mentorship program by fostering meaningful connections where experienced alums provide valuable guidance to current and recent graduates, supporting their academic, professional, and personal development.
Enhance Alumni Engagement Through Strategic Initiatives
Strengthen Connections - Foster stronger relationships between alums and the current student body through events, mentorship programs, and collaborative initiatives, encouraging meaningful interactions and shared learning opportunities.
Increase Participation—Increase alumni involvement in ASN activities by increasing event attendance, volunteer opportunities, and contributions to academic and professional programs.
Promote Professional Growth—Provide alumni with opportunities for continued professional development through workshops, networking events, and access to resources, ensuring they remain engaged and supported in their careers.
Enhance Communication—Leverage the Alumni Student Network Engagement Survey better to understand alumni needs, interests, and preferences. Use feedback to tailor programs and improve communication strategies.
Foster a Culture of Giving Back - Encourage alums to give back through mentorship, guest speaking, or supporting ASN initiatives, creating a legacy of involvement that benefits current students and the broader alum community
Strengthen Student Engagement and Leadership through the Cohort Student Representative Role
Establish the Cohort Student Representative role as a cornerstone of the Doctor of Health Administration Alumni Student Network (DHA ASN) program. This role aims to foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment, advocate for student needs, enhance communication, and empower students to actively contribute to the growth and development of their cohort by serving as a vital link between students, faculty, and the ASN.
Enhance Student Success through Targeted Cohort Support Initiatives
We are committed to providing tailored support through targeted initiatives to foster academic excellence and personal growth among students in the DHA program. These initiatives aim to address the unique needs of each cohort and create an environment conducive to success. Key components include:
Survival Tips Doctoral Didactic Sessions—This initiative provides practical strategies for managing academic challenges and achieving success. It aims to empower students with tools to enhance time management, improve study habits, foster collaboration, and maintain well-being throughout their doctoral journey.
Navigating the Dissertation Journey—This workshop is designed to provide doctoral candidates with essential guidance and support throughout the dissertation process. It equips participants with practical strategies, resources, and confidence to manage each phase of their dissertation journey effectively.
Comprehensive Exam Preparation sessions are designed to equip students with the tools and strategies to excel in this pivotal milestone of their academic journey. These sessions provide targeted guidance on key areas, including study planning, content mastery, time management, and stress management techniques.
Statistics Study Group is designed to provide students with a collaborative and supportive environment, helping them strengthen their data analysis skills and build confidence in mastering statistical concepts.
